Before two Yale Law graduates started their own firm in 1909, the two friends held highly esteemed public positions, with Homer Cummings having served as mayor of Stamford while Charles Lockwood served as the city’s chief probate judge. Since its beginnings from the fifth floor of the Stamford National Bank Building, the firm has grown throughout Connecticut, opening offices in Greenwich and West Hartford as well as expanding further south to Florida setting up shop in Bonita Springs, Naples and Palm Beach Gardens.
